Karotia ozone treatment carrot

Karotia cleans their carrots with ozone

Karotia wanted an effective solution to clean and disinfect their baby carrots without affecting the taste. The aim of the additional cleaning step was to prolong the shelf life of the baby carrots, and thus, reducing wastage and increase profit. Ozonetech solved the problem by circulating ozonated water, from one of the RENA Vivo B-systems, over a water basin where the baby carrots are rinsed. All this results in an extended shelf life without having any effects on the taste, the carrots are always completely free from any microbial contamination.

Fresenius Kabi Pharmaceutical residue removal

Complete pharmaceutical residue removal

Fresenius Kabi turned to Ozonetech for an evaluation of the degradation of propofol using ozone. This resulted in a pilot scale project which showed 100 % removal of propofol and resulted in a full-scale offer based on the findings and assessment done in the pilot scale project. The Ozonetech consulting team designed the solution to integrate the treatment equipment into the existing available space and pipe works.

Blomsterboda case study hydroponic greenhouse

High-quality water treatment in hydroponic cultivation

Blomsterboda is one of the Nordic region’s largest producers of flowers and plants. The company has a constant focus on streamlining and increasing the quality of the entire production. So it was expected that the plant in Vallentuna north of Stockholm would stop cultivating bulbs and tulips in soil and switch to hydroponic cultivation. But how would one solve the vital treatment and disinfection of the recirculating water? The solution became a RENA Pro system for powerful disinfection with ozone in a fully automatic system.

Orkla Foods in Kungshamn, Sweden, upgrades to ozone

Orkla Foods in Kungshamn produce well-known Scandinavian brands such as Abba and Kalles kaviar. Orkla originally used chlorine dioxide to sanitize their process equipment but with troublesome chemical handling. Orkla then installed an ozone treatment system with the intention to replace the chemical use. Later they turned to us for a more reliable ozone system with higher capacity. The plant in Kungshamn now uses ozone only, produced by our RENA Vivo B-series. Read more in our case study.

Malta water bottling plant tripled capacity with Ozonetech

The fastest growing water bottling plant in Malta expanded their production and turned to Ozonetech for a turn-key solution to sanitize the bottled water. Our RENA Vivo B-series reduced the foot-print by 50% and tripled the capacity compared to the old ozone generator.

Grebbestad brewery upgraded to ozone

Sweden's oldest microbrewery is located in Grebbestad on the Swedish west coast. They made a substantial upgrade of their methods for cleaning and disinfection of processing equipment. Ozone produced by our RENA Vivo A series has now replaced chemicals and hot water for the most frequent Clean-in-place (CIP) purifications of processing equipment. The brewery utilizes the strong disinfecting effect of ozone to both save time, and reduce costs, use and handling of chemicals. The amount of rinsing water has also decreased sharply.

Ozone instead of peracetic acid - it's reality at Poppels Brewery

The day to day life without acid disinfection continues to improve the work environment at Poppels Brewery outside Gothenburg on the Swedish west coast. Our RENA Vivo A-series was successfully installed and commissioned, fully integrated into the current CIP system at the brewery. The system is used daily to sanitize both fermentation tanks and filling machine after each brew.

Rynkeby Foods (Eckes-Granini)

The new production facility, home to a multitude of known juice brands such as Rynkeby and Brämhults, has implemented an Ozonetech RENA Vivo A-series system to ensure microbial-free rinse water. Before final processing, fresh fruit is continuously rinsed in a rinsing system, equipped with a high efficiency ozone system to prevent infection and potential spoiling. The dissolved ozone levels are maintained at proper concentrations in order to prolong the shelf-life of the final fruit juices leaving the factory.

What do you do when the law catches up to you? You implement an ozone based treatment solution from Ozonetech. INDEX, a major exporter of textiles worldwide, has installed a large scale RENA Tellus X-series to reduce COD and BOD from the factory's wastewater stream.

Polar Bear Water at Tallinn Zoo

Tallinn Zoo was recently refurbished. Good news for the polar bears Aron and Friida who now, with the help from Ozonetech enjoy clear, refreshing water. Ozone treatment was implemented at the facility to improve the water quality as a part of the skimmer process to remove particles and protein residues. Ozonetech delivered a turn-key RENA Pro solution with advanced controls that make it easier to optimize performance. Marks municipality removes iron and manganese from drinking water

The Swedish municipality Marks experienced elevated levels of iron and manganese in their drinking water. We provided an ozone treatment system to solve the problem. Ozone oxidizes these compounds which then can be filtered off.
